Happy to share that our mobile app has started development. The app development, testing and app store approval process will likely take 8 to 10 weeks, which would put us at a late July/August release date.
Again, keep in mind the initial mobile app will be limited functionaility to allow project managers and contractors to easily post Project Updates, and Photos from the field to communicate back to team members in the web app.
We will keep you posted as we get further into development, and need beta testers.

We've been putting together some mockups of our MVP "FlipperForce Field" mobile app.
To get this feature launched as quickly as possible, we have narrowed the scope down to 3 core features that will allow users in the field like project managers, superintendents, contractors to post updates, photos & receipts from their phone.
Summary of Features
- Overall Project Dashboard
- Project Updates
- Photo Log
- Receipts
Overall Dashboard
- Easily see all projects, with "Quick Tools" area to quickly add a Project Update, upload photos or a receipt to a specific project
Project Updates
- Post text updates and photos to keep your team up to date with everything happening on your project.
Photos
- Post progress photos and jobsite photos.
Receipts
- Easily scan receipts from your phone and add a receipt to your "Receipts" folder in the project accounting area, so you or your bookkeeper can convert it to a transaction from the web app.
Future Ideas
- Contractor Tasks - list of contractor tasks (SOW), with checklists and photos to track contractor work completed, punchlists, to-dos.
- Photo anotation - ability to add text to photos, draw/highlight areas to communicate punchlist items
- Video support - ability to add videos for project walkthroughs
- Messaging - Chat messaging between internal team members and contractors

Dave Robertson would contractors have to upload the pictures from their gallery or would they be able to take and post pictures directly from the app?
Dave Robertson
Jonathan Herrera: Contractors would be able to upload photos directly from the mobile app.

Dave Robertson if you could take photos from within the app vs uploading I know contractors/project managers/agents would really appreciate the saved space on their phones.
Dave Robertson
Jonathan Herrera Yes, they will be able to "Take Photos" directly in the app.
Keep in mind this is also possible today in the web app experience from your phone:

Dave Robertson If there is an app added, I think we are sold. Right now we use a mixture of multiple different softwares for our flipping business and one big reason we have not made the leap is no mobile app. Do you have an ETA on deployment on the app?
Dave Robertson
Mark Gray: Hi Mark,
We are currently working with some 3rd party app developers to come up with a budget/plan for development, so no ETA just yet, but we should have an approximate timeline soon.
Based upon what you've seen in the wireframes, will having basic functionality for Project Updates, Photos & potentially receipt scanning meet your needs for your team in the field?
Keep in mind, the app won't have all the bells-and-whistles for deal analysis, but specifically focused on project management/communication features for project managers/contractors in the field to post updates and photos.

This is the one. An app would be a game changer. I just got started with the software this week and found myself here.

Up until this point, we've been focusing solely on improving our web application which is built to be mobile friendly so you can access it from your phone on your web browser. We've spent quite a bit of time making it more user friendly on a phone, but we know having a dedicated app would provide a better user experience.
For 2025, we are seriously considering building a new native mobile app called "FlipperForce Field" to make it easier to manage your projects on-the-go.
The first iteration of this mobile app would be to build features you need while you are in the "field" and on jobsites. This would give your team and contractors the ability to do things like post Project Updates, upload Progress Photos, and scan receipts, send messages.
There's also some cool things we can do with AI to automatically scan receipts to upload expenses directly to the Expense Tracker which could save a substantial amount of time manually breaking down receipts and entering line items.
Keep in mind, this FlipperForce Field app would not include Deal Analysis features and would be more for project management, collaborating on projects from your phone.
Let us know what you think? Would focusing on "field" features be a step in the right direction for managing your projects?

Dave Robertson Yes this would be a Godsend to our business. Currently we are considering companycam. Our contractors prefer an app where they can take pictures directly from within the app vs having to upload from their gallery.

Would love to have this more mobile friendly and would love to an app ideally.

Although we would certainly love to provide native mobile apps iOS and Android, realistically this is a few years down the road.
The power of a web application is it is built to be mobile responsive so you can open the app on any device including a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone.
In the near term, we will continue to refine the mobile responsiveness of our web application to improve user experience on mobile devices and eventually look at native apps in the distant future.

Dave Robertson: Any closer to this? I spend almost all my time on site. It would be great to have access to my schedules and task items as well as the other features mentions like receipt uploads.
